No nuclear power

Large-scale and Gigantification: Components such as wind turbine blades, towers, hydroelectric turbine runners, and photovoltaic supports are all large-scale structures. Once they fail, the consequences are severe, and the repair costs are extremely high.

Harsh Operating Environments: These structures endure long-term alternating loads (e.g., wind loads), corrosion (offshore wind farms, hydropower stations), extreme temperatures (concentrated solar power plants), and other conditions, making them susceptible to damage such as fatigue cracks and corrosion.

High Reliability Requirements: Energy infrastructure serves as the lifeline of society, demanding exceptionally high reliability and continuity, and cannot be easily shut down.

Long Lifespan Requirements: The design life typically spans 20–30 years or even longer, necessitating ensured safety throughout the entire lifecycle.

It is under these premises that NDT performs "physical examinations" on these expensive equipment without causing damage, promptly identifying potential defects and assessing their health conditions.
